Point Defiance Park gardens

Tacoma's Point Defiance Park has nine gardens! Yes we spend all week working in the garden then go see others on our days off. LOL Anyway most of the gardens, like the Rhododendron and iris gardens, are done blooming for the year so we didn't visit them. We strolled through the rose garden and came to the Dahlia Trial Garden. The dahlia growers try out different varieties here. Anyway, they're beautiful!
Check out this one then read about it in the next photo

Still a dahlia

Dahlias come in 19 different shapes.

...Ok we're out of the dahlia garden now and strolling around admiring all the other pretty flowers.

We went to the Japanese Garden. Isn't this lovely?

Nolan looked at this and instantly said, "Big rhubarb!". There wasn't a sign so we didn't really know what it was but we saw some with a sign when we went to the zoo. It's Chilean Rhubarb! I wonder if it tastes like the rhubarb here in the states.

Interesting trees in the Japanese Garden.
