Oregon Coast Trail Just North of Condo

The Oregon Coast Trail has an entrance just off the condo's parking area.

The trail has many different looks

Fuchia

Woodland Phlox?

I think these are Foxglove

We walked through grassy area

Areas with high tree cover and no vegetation below

Some areas are just plain spooky

There were lots of fungi and most of them were this red color

Of course you can't take a walk in the forest without seeing a slug

This "trail" crossed a creek but didn't lead anywhere

We followed some old road to come out onto Hwy 101 about a 1/4 mile north of where we entered.  Believe me that we covered far more ground than that on the trail.  We discovered later that this is a weigh station.

This is where we came out of the woods

This building was by the scales area.

You can't tell from the photo but this is a steep descent to a natural bridge create by roots crossing the stream.

Crocosmia masonorum aka Falling Stars

Monkey flower

Just off the condo's deck.
