Pattison State Park - Wisconsin

Pattison State Park features the 165' high Big Manitou Falls, the highest waterfall in Wisconsin.

It was impossible to get a full view of the falls from any of the viewpoints.

Nolan called it Root Beer Fall due to the coloring from tannins.

It is a deep canyon and the water just keeps falling.

To get to the falls from the main park area, you have to descend into a tunnel on the lake side to come out here on the gorge side.

Water falling out of the lake and passing under the WI highway 35 bridge.

A mile further downriver, the water falls again at Little Manitou Falls.

From the top of Little Manitou Falls.
