Ender Park

When we traveled from MN to WI we came through Duluth.  As we descended the slope leading down to the bay, we had some magnificent views.  Hoping to see this view again, we went back to Duluth with the car to this tower on the hill.

This tower was built in 1939 and you can read some of its history here - http://www.engertowerduluth.com/history.html

Yes the views were great

Then Nolan noticed some of the views were labeled

Loved how the staircase in the middle of the tower was cantilevered out from the sides.

This small park also included this interesting bell.

Very interesting story.

Yes anyone can go up and ring this replica of the original bell.  That's how we knew it was there.

Oh yes... the gravel pond.  Much easier upkeep than an actual water pond.
