National Civil War Museum

The National Civil War Museum covers the entire Civil War from slavery, politics and the lives of several fictional characters.

As always, there's so much more to see when you go to the museum then I can show you in this blog.

You will probably have to click to enlarge this photo for reading.

Many of the displays were very hard to take a photo of.  Actually most of the displays in this first section on slavery were too dark to hardly read in person.

I've often heard of a cat-o-nine tails but had never seen one.  How horrible!

I was surprised there wasn't more information about the war prisons.  I had never heard of Andersonville until we went there in 2007.

Until this museum, I hadn't realized that Lincoln was elected to his second term during the Civil War.
