Along Lake Pend Oreille

Saw this cool looking motorcycle.

These are VERY interesting.  They are float houses. The second one from the left is for sale for $159,750.   Has 2bd/1bath, covered porch, TV satellite, washer and dryer, boat garage (24 by 26 with electric garage door opener and more.

Here are the garages for boats of each float house.

Here is a very interesting float house.  Looked like it was homemade by the owner.  The deck on the back looks a little sloped.

The float houses are located on this lake.

We visited the brig of the US Naval Training Station.  The only building still standing.  The location is now called Farragut State Park.
This is the map of what is was.  It took 6 months to have built.  Good luck with that now days.

The front of the brig.

German soldiers during World War II were bought here and put to work.  Most of them felt they were treated better as prisoners then the US Sailors being trained here.

After the war the buildings were used as a school from 1946 to 1950.

When leaving saw this HDT and 5th wheel trailer.

The car in front also had Washington state plates so no doubt traveling like JoAnn and I do.
