Sailing along the Australian Coast 11/28/2025

The day started with the last time change of the journey, setting the time ahead 1 hour at 2 am.  We had a lazy day at sea.  Played Pegs and Jokers with the group both in morning and in afternoon.

Saw this interesting line of foam.  Our navy guy told us this usually happens where two different waters meet.

Sure enough, there are lots of different currents mixing in this area. The East Australian Current is at its narrowest and swiftest point in this region.
Thought you might like to know what our room was like.  As with all cruises, we were given a key card that opened our room door.  We also used it to log on and off the ship.

Top shelf is all the toiletries they supplied: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, a box with a shower cap and a box with cotton swabs.  They also supply a hair dryer.

The night light that shines under the sink and in the hallway was too bright for us.  But the light from the heated floor control was enough light in the bathroom at night.

Back out in the hallway there is a high shelf, a shelf for brewing coffee and tea, a safe behind a door, and three drawers.

I hate the location of the closet as it doesn't work well when the bed is split into twins.  There is a three-drawer dresser inside the first half of the closet.  There is a motion-detector light in the closet.  Viking supplies slippers and robes for guest use.

You can watch the port talks on the TV as well as watch the entertainment in the theater live.  Other stations supply ship location information, movies and tv shows, and another offered Viking cruises.

Sorry I didn't take a photo of the verandah.  Just two chairs and a small table outside.

The cabinet door hides a mini fridge supplied with complimentary beverages and snacks.

Every evening the cabin attendants would turn down the beds and put the Viking Daily on the first bed.  This night was different as we were getting to the end of the cruise.  We also got a thank you card and a gift along with a survey.
