Hobart, Tasmania to Melbourne, Victoria

In the rural part of Tasmania that we traveled through, we saw that most homes had water tanks.  I'm assuming that these areas don't have water mains and for some reason, digging a well isn't feasible.  There are many advantages to having a water tank.
Environmentally:  No water infrastructure, groundwater depletion
reduction, and lessening the negative effects of stormwater runoff.
Economically: You don't have to pay for water service or delivery.

Parking at our lodging was tight so I had to park the car as close to the wall as possible.

Interesting clouds on our way from Port Arthur to Hobart.

Just one of the many vehicles we saw with a snorkel

So 91 octane gas for the car was $1.669 Australian dollars per liter.  To convert to US price:
3.78571 liters per gallon x 1.669 = $6.31785 Australian dollars x current exchange rate of $1AUSD = .64USD is equal to $4.0434 per US gallon.  At the time, this was a little cheaper than on the coast of Oregon but more expensive than in Iowa.

This retaining wall was thick and long.

I was happy we didn't have to get off the plane via steps.

The car we picked up at Melbourne was an MG 3 Core.

Once again the truck was so tiny only one suitcase would fit in the back.  My sister's suitcase ended up in the back seat.
