Upon arrival we could see Chateau Gaillard from our window. After lunch we headed off on a tour of the Chateau. As you can tell by the photo, we had to hike up a large hill. |
This display was at the bottom of the hill. |
Loved this warning sign that showed us all the places we could fall. |
The next 6 photos capture the view from right to left once we got to the top of the hill. |
At the base of the ramp leading up into the Keep was a path leading down to a view platform |
Once we walked down, we looked back at the castle |
The platform was surrounded by informational panels. |
Once back down the hill, it was time to hit the public toilets. Very basic and they were out of toilet paper. During this trip I went to a few public toilets without seats. |
It wouldn't be an old French home if it was half-timbered. |
nor an old French town without an old church. |
