Miscellaneous Wisconsin

This lighthouse, built in 1886, was the first lighthouse for the City of Two Rivers. It is made almost entirely of wood and is one of few original wooden structures left on the Great Lakes. It stood on the north pier of the Two Rivers Harbor until 1969 when its use was discontinued.  In 1975 it was moved to the Rogers Street Fishing Village and Museum.

World's tallest grandfather clock.  Read more about it at http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/11922

This gnome is the mascot for a mulch business called Mr. Mulch by Sturgeon Bay, WI

We've passed through Alaska, Virginia and Denmark this summer but they're not the places you are thinking of.   Then there's the  interesting town names of Twig, MN; Zap, ND and Cornucopia, WI
Wisconsin must have a state law as to where the address signs must be placed.  I'm sure this makes it much easier for emergency response crews.
The Woodland Dunes Nature Center by Two Rivers, WI had this osprey nest.   We saw a parent come by with fish but didn't have the camera ready in time.

We saw some really small frogs during our hiking around Two Rivers WI.  This photo is zoomed in a little on this branch but I bet you still can't see the frog.  Look just lower than the crook and to the right side of the main branch.  Click on photo to enlarge.

Give up?  So here's what the camera picked up when we zoomed in.  Some of the frogs were about the size of a nickel.

Beautiful scenery, thank you for sharing, and I would agree on the address placements!
