Kettle Moraine State Forest has many areas. We went to the Northern Unit to hike and learn about the geology of the area. |
We decided to hike to the tower for an overview of the area. |
Some little boys that hiked up after us had counted around 270 steps to the base of the tower. The tower is at the top of this flight. |
We didn't pick the clearest day to go. |
We couldn't see the things listed on this sign. It was mounted to an pipe that swiveled to each of the items so you could see them. |
We ended up hurrying back down the trail to escape most of this rain that was moving in. It was only a very heavy mist/super light sprinkle type of rain. |
Next stop was the Ice Age Visitor Center by Dundee, WI |
Read the posts to see how glaciers changed the landscape in this area. |
