I forced Nolan to take me to the Mineral Museum at the NM Institute of Mining and Technology. We took the truck because we had to get the new tire for the trailer. It almost fit in the parking spot.
I love looking at these beautiful rocks. There were more than 2,000 to look at from NM and around the world. So just take a peek at what we saw.

This is a fossil mollusk called Cephalopoda Orthoceras from the Sahara Desert in Morocco.
October 2nd we drove from Las Vegas, NM to just west of Magdalena, NM. They are building a light rail track from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. It runs between the interstate lanes.
Just a peek at the adobe style homes along the interstate.
Just east of Magdalena we had another tire go flat. 
It damaged the fender skirt so bad that we had to take it off.
But we made it to the campground where our site is out in the middle of nowhere.
