Many of the displays were very hard to take a photo of. Actually most of the displays in this first section on slavery were too dark to hardly read in person. |
I've often heard of a cat-o-nine tails but had never seen one. How horrible! |
I was surprised there wasn't more information about the war prisons. I had never heard of Andersonville until we went there in 2007. |
Until this museum, I hadn't realized that Lincoln was elected to his second term during the Civil War. |
