Roanoke Canal Museum and Trail - Roanoke Rapids, NC

We were really disappointed when we arrived at this museum to find it closed.  The web site and the sign on the door both indicated that it should be open. 

 

We took a short walk down the trail and came back 20 minutes later to find it still closed.  There was also another couple waiting.

But we took all the outside photos we could.
