Day 2 we continued to tour Jasper National Park. Click on these photos to enlarge to read because this is very interesting.
Maligne Canyon is so deep and twisted we couldn't see the water in most places.
Howdy from Maligne Canyon!
Look at the pointed rock inside the hole! Very interesting.
That pointed rock hole is in this group of rocks.
The next stop was Medicine Lake. As we pulled into the parking area, we almost hit a small black bear! But by the time we got the camera out, it had almost walked onto the road.
Read this.
Medicine Lake
The caribou was the one large mammal that we didn't see. They are probably all up higher in the mountains.
We headed back south into the main park of Jasper National Park.
It looks like these mountains we created by a fault that lifted the earth into a severe angle.
Look hard for the ram on top of the rock.
We were sitting in the car at a construction site when Nolan looked up to the left and saw these goats on the other side of the road. There were four of them.
They look pretty shabby as they are losing their winter coats.
We stopped at Bow Summit to walk the trail to Peyto Lake.
Peyto Lake was a beautiful turquoise color.
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Peyto Glacier
Bow Lake.
We were shocked to find this young moose along the road as we went back through Kootenay National Park.
Yeah, you never know what you are going to see on the road. I wasn't drinking when I saw this pink VW bus.
